So Last week our family got lucky and scored box tickets to see the Spurs through dad's work. I realize that a majority of the small amount of people who may actually read this blog are probably Mavs fans, but that is not my story. I pretty much will watch the
Spurs play Basketball, the
LONGHORNS play football, and
Hayden Play waterball, and that is about it for me actually enjoying sports. Needless to say we had a great time and enjoyed our fabulous seats in a very nice box in a very nice stadium. They ended up beating Miami Heat by a lot. The downside was that the state of Texas is so ill prepared and equipped to handle a little sleet and ice, it took us 4 hours to get home as opposed to the normal hour and a half. It was an intense ride home to say the least. I have never seen so many accidents in a row, so many cars swerving out of control, and others who had just abandoned their cars or gotten stuck. Yes, everywhere just sort of shut down because of that little winter blow we got here. The cold weather, however, is some what refreshing...uh, when you are at home and not on the road. The next day, everywhere was pretty much shut down so I got the whole day off. Those of you who know me it won't be a surprise that I slept most of that day away and loved every relaxing minute of it.
As a random side note, I love this template of my blog because it reminds me of an American Eagle coupon.

hey jen, i'm not going to lie, the only team I approve of that you like is Hayden, ok? and that was just because hayden and i were married at camp deer run for the summer, don't be jealous, ok? :) i'll root for the spurs if i have to, but seriously not with the horns jen, no. by the way, i laugh everytime i see your blog and your title, you are so funny. love you jp, have a great day
JenP- I had a similar ice experience in Abilene. The city completey shut down the bride on Hwy 80 ("Singing Bridge") before it even got cold. We never even ended up with precipitation to make ice...but they sure were prepared for the worst! The sad part was, there were so many fender benders because people didn't realize the bridge was shut down until they had to swerve back into a lane or slam on their brakes.
My favorite teams to watch are Texas Football, Duke Basketball, ACU Volleyball, and Hayden Waterball.
Are you still coming into town this weekend?
Jen, yes your blog is an AE ad and that is perfect..I heart you and I heart brown and pink mixing bowls!!!
I love the Spurs!! I never knew we had such a deep connection:) See you soon!
